Forensic science – key for investigation

The basic sciences like physics, chemistry, etc. are applied in forensic science for the investigation. The use of forensic procedures is crucial in the investigation of a variety of crimes, including rape, murder, and civil disputes. Law enforcement and legal experts utilize forensic science to find, gather, and analyse evidence that can be used to resolve legal disputes.

Techniques used in forensic science include the investigation of written materials and records as well as the analysis of physical evidence, including fingerprints, tool marks, blood, and other body fluids. Furthermore, forensic scientists can be asked to analyse digital evidence like data from computers and mobile phones or recreate a crime scene.

Forensic science is crucial to the judicial system's investigation and prosecution of criminal crimes. A forensic expert's findings might be used in court to support or contradict testimony and other kinds of evidence. Legal norms can also be created using forensic science, for instance when determining the cause of death, time of death etc.

With the advancement of technology, crimes have become more frequent, and their nature and methods have changed as well. Therefore, it is crucial that the tools used by the police and investigators to solve crimes also use forensic science and keep up with evolving technology and different types of crime.
